Avascular Necrosis; due to Alcoholism, Chronic diseases, Chronic use of steroids/anticonvulsants, Idiopathic; is one of the commonest problem causing Hip Joint Damage in early age requiring THR. Hip fractures in old age, Arthritis, T.B., Infection and Trauma are other causes requiring THR/Hemiarthroplasty.
