The center is headed by Dr. Satish B.Sonar. His speciality is Sports Orthopaedics and Joint replacement surgeries. Dr.Sonar is one of the exclusive Joint Surgeons in India.

Apart from arthroscopic surgeries for joint injuries, he is actively involved in sports related research & rehablitation. Dr.Satish B.Sonar MS (Orth) DNB (Orth); Graduated from Government Medical College, Nagpur in 1999 and Obtained his Master's degrees in Orthopaedics from Grant Medical College and Sir J.J. Group of Hospitals, Mumbai in 2005.

He passed DNB from National Board of Medical Sciences, New Delhi in 2005. After Post graduation, he worked with Dr. Sanjay Desai and Dr. Suresh Vengsarkar, Mumbai in Dept. of Shoulder-Knee Surgeries for 1 year.

In 2006, he was awarded World orthopaedic concern and International society of orthopaedic and sports traumatology Fellowship (WOC-SICOT) by Indian Orthopaedic association.

In January 2007, he completed International society for arthroscopy, knee surgery and orthopaedic sports medicine (ISAKOS) Fellowship with Dr. David V. Rajan & Dr. K. Vinodh, at Ortho One Hospital, Coimbatore, India.

Further post-graduate training was undertaken overseas from 2007-09. He underwent fellowships in Arthroscopy / Sports Medicine at Italian university of Sports medicine (IUSM, Italy) and Villa Stuart Hospital with Dr.Pier Paolo Mariani and Prof Giancarlo Puddu in Rome in 2007. European Society of Sports traumatology, Knee Surgeries & Arthroscopy (E SSKA) Diploma in Sports Traumatology at Feldkirch, Austria with Prof. Karl P. Benedetto in 2008. In 2009 finished his Fellowship in Joint Replacement & advanced Sports Surgeries, with Prof. John Bartlett and Hayden Morris in Melbourne, Australia. In Later part of 2009 received Manchester Sports Medicine Centre & Wrightinton Hospital Scholarship in Shoulder-Elbow Surgeries with Prof. Lenard Funk, U.K.
